Wow, never thought the subject would cause such commotion. What's that old song, "We could never agree if we talked all night, things are gettin' kinda heavy and I'm traveling light..."
As to partial plates. I'm a girl (lady), with a front upper tooth that's been a problem since long ago years as a young teen who got it knocked when a boy in the swimming pool came up under me and rammed it up into my sinus with his head. I've fought it for all these years, constantly having work on it. I personally do not want a partial plate, and dang sure don't want to have all my teeth removed for full plates. I've seen far too many people struggle with those and not be able to eat foods they enjoy.
In addition to the front tooth needing work, I have two teeth missing on the lower right. I had a partial plate made for it so that for business sessions I didn't look like a hillbilly (even though I are one). But it is horribly uncomfortable and I am constantly fiddling with it, taking it out, leaving it out, and it currently resides in a box in the master bath.
I can remember my dad's false teeth...and he would take those nasty things out of his mouth at the table, clean 'em with his knife, pop them back in and finish eating. My husband fights his constantly. Being polite, he leaves the table, takes care of his teeth, then rejoins us at the table. Hubby lost all of his teeth due to gum disease caused by long years of living with diabetes (juvenile). He's been ok with the plates because he was in such misery with his own teeth.
I guess it's a personal thing.

It appears that if we go we may have to stay in a tent. Thus far we've had no luck finding a coach we will consider purchasing. Our budget for everything is limited, so what we find in our price range really should be parted out and crushed. We were spoiled with our previous motorhome.
saw your post about dental implants and was wondering how it worked out for you.
i am in the same boat about needing multiple implants & not being able to afford US dentist prices.
i would appreciate hearing about your experiences if you went through a dentist in progresso. my wife has had a bit of crown work done there and been very satisfied.
