I am so tired of pulling into a Flying J, Cracker Barrel, rest area, or other RV friendly establishment only to find the RV parking has cars parked in them. And its usually one car in each slot parked right in the middle so there's no way an RV can fit.
I complained to the management in a Cracker Barrel once and they said they couldn't do anything about it. But if I parked my MH in a way that was taking up 6 car slots they would say something.

Maybe you shouldn't go to Flying J or Cracker Barrel then you might feel more at ease with life.

I have parked my truck/5'vr taking up several parking spaces.....no staff has ever said anything.
And if they did I would just point at the car in the RV parking, smile and ask "Is my table ready?"
As they say.....'Good for the goose, good for the gander'
And if it WAS a problem I showed up there hungry and I can satisfy that any place.
As for fueling......I pull in line and wait my turn. But just like the grocery store checkout I ALWAYS pick the slowest line....oh well.

x2. we pulled in to a J on I-10 south of phoenix last year. 2 RV lanes, 1 with an RV fueling up with another behind him and the other had a small pickup truck. nobody around the PU and it was not being fueled. practicing patience we sat there for 5+ minutes (by the clock) waiting for the driver to re-appear. when he did he had a big gulp soft drink cup in one hand and an arm load of junk food. ok, i think...he went in to pay and he's ready to roll. no such luck. he dumps everything into the car and *then* starts to fuel up. by this time the RV in the other lane had finished and the guy behind him pulled forward. this enabled me to pull away and we went to the auto island. i was fueled up and pulling away and saw that the guy with the PU was still fiddling around with something or other blocking the lane.

The trouble with being punctual is that nobody’s there to appreciate it.

Another thing that bothers me is when I pull in to the RV lane and start filling up my main and auxiliary tank only to have another RVer pull in behind me, walk up and ask how long I'm going to be (or some other obnoxious statement trying to make me somehow "hurry up.") I politely say "Why do you ask?"
I patiently await my turn; and, I'm going to take the time I need to safely re-fuel, no more. When my diesel tanks are full, even if I'm waiting for my propane tank(s) to be refilled, I will pull forward to give whoever is behind me room to access the pump(s).
There are plenty of irritants in the world, today. Maybe we all need to just take a deep breath, work around the obstacles, and get on with whatever we're doing. Being able to "rant" a little on some forum is, of course, one of the vents that allows us to let off the steam so we can take that deep breath.
Happy camping!!

You just can't fix stupid. I have ran into these bozo's all my driving life. I have had plenty of RVers doing stupid inconsiderate things in fuel stops also. I especially hate the guy that over fills his diesel tank and leaves an oily smelly mess on the concrete. You step in it before you see it and ruin the carpet in your RV.

Living in Los Angeles I have become accustomed to bad manners. As a result I am elated when traveling people show the good grace of saying: hi, thank you, can I help, etc.
As for Flyng J and Cracker Barrel, really, what can they do. Guess they could make an announcement:"would the idiot in the big parking spot please remove their smart-car." But in LA that would probably result is a driveby window breaking, a fight at the front desk, or a bunch of slashed tires.
Sad.

If that is the worst thing that happened to me that day I would be happy. People are always going to park in RV spots and use RV pumps. I try not to get too worked up about it. The wait gives me a chance to grab a bite, tinkle and stretch my legs.

A problem that happens to me often... Some exits have only one station that has diesel. The station might have six or eight islands with gas, but only one with diesel. A car will pull in right in front of me and fill with gas at the only diesel pump, blocking the pump. The rest of the islands will be open. And, of course the must go in and shop, use the restrooms, while I sit with my ass end hanging out close to the drive.'
I had one do this on my last trip that after he came back, decided to clean out his car also. I finally went up and asked him if he would please pull forward so I could get fuel. Its hard to believe how inconsiderate some people are. Its not like he couldn't see that I was behind him and waiting.

One of my biggest gripes is inconsiderate drivers who "park" there vehicles at the fuel pump while they shop or use the rest room or what ever. At my local gas station there are 2 lanes out of 10 that offer diesel and wouldn't you know it, everytime I go to fuel up there is a car parked in the lanes that offer diesel.
