Can you please recommend us favorable camp sites in the west of the USA for stays in a tent? What about camp sites close to / directly in LA, nearby the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone NP, Las Vegas, Seattle, SF,...? Thank you so much for your help! Camping within a few feet of a 1000 foot drop down to the reservoir and the scenery and wildlife are fantastic. It's near the airport, but we were never bothered by any noise. But do be aware that tent camping in bear country requires that you take precautions seriously--NEVER have food in your tent. Most of the best CGs in the LA area can be found along the beaches. Any particular area? For the National Parks, you will have the best experience if you stay in their CGs. Check out their websites.
