I will be in yuma in March and would like to know where or who to see in Algodones to have my eyes examined and get new eyeglasses as well as where the best place is to purchase prescription drugs as my heart medications will be getting low by then.
OK oldtimers here's your chance. Tell me where to go.Thanks in advance.

I was impressed by Wal-marts prices on eye exams as well as their glasses. I have used their pharmacy for years, but delivery time became an issue at my local pharmacy/Walmart, so switched to Rite-Aid.
Most of my RX's get faxed from the doctors office to the pharmacy, which is nice as I can swing by and pick them up on the way home from my appt. Have not tried this with Walmart though so can't tell you whether it's effective.

I use This one for my eyeglasses. I am wearing glasses right now that I have had for 2 years. The quality is excellent and the prices?
Two years ago I needed new lens, not new glasses. My glasses at that time cost $500.00 and were titanium frames so I really didn't want to quit using them. I checked with a local optical store for new lens and they wanted $400.00. I checked WalMart and they wanted $200.00. I went to the source in the link above and got totally new glasses with titanium frames, progressive bifocals, anti glare coating including shipping for $73.80. As I stated above, I have been wearing these daily for 2 years.
I just ordered another pair of the same glasses above just to have a spare in case of loss or damage. For the price you can have multiple pairs for little money.

Kind of the same experience here. I used to buy glasses from the doctor's office to the tune of around $300. Then switched to WallyWorld to the tune of aroud $150. Last week I ordered new glasses from an online store for $73. Quite a savings! Note, though, that the glasses haven't arrived yet (because I chose el-cheapo shipping), so I can't comment yet about quality.

We tried WM and were disappointed. Especially with the warranty, you are required to go back to the same store, since they aren't connected. Now we use LensCrafters and can get fixes anywhere.

Costco just got new glasses in Texas 180.00 progressive lens etc get lots of complments. We also use them for all our Medications usually not problems geting them any where we are at good luck

Zenni Optical online for glasses. The purple pharmacy in Algodones for the Mexican medicine. You can't miss the pharmacy, it is right there as you enter and it has about 6 doors that all lead into the same place.
Both retired. Travel with Nicky the Schnoodle. Son graduated and is teaching high school math. We still love our 2006 34' Allegro Bay XB and have 40,000+ miles on her.

Any of the optical shops in Algodones can provide very cheap prices for glasses. All of the optical shops use the same facility to actually create the glasses. Same kid on the same bicycle transporting the glasses to and from the various outlets.
We've used them for the last 7 years for our glasses and couldn't be happier. I have my eyes examined by a professional in the states and just take them the prescription. My wife has used their optometrist to provide the prescription and is also happy with the results.
