Took delivery of our new Toyhauler and they forgot to install the black tank flush kit. I don't really want to use the wand/hose to clean the tanks.
Question: Done the Flush-King work as advertised? link here here

Has worked pretty well for me. Requires several back flushes to get tanks good and clean.

I would recommend getting a flush attachement installed. The flush king is a FANTASTIC tool...but! Nothing is as easy as attaching a hose and letting the sprayer rinse down the inside of the tank.
If you already have the Flush King...that's great. It's a great tool. If you don't...then I recommend getting two components that are approximately the same thing as the Flush King.
Valterra T-58 Twist On Waste Valve
Valterra 45 degree HYDROFLUSH (or 90 degree your choice)
They can work together the same as the Flush King
You can use the components separately as an emergency waste valve, or just a clear section attachement, etc... More Flexibility
If a component fails or breaks...it's cheaper to replace the half vs a whole new FLUSH KING ($$$)
My advice is to stay away from the Camco Dual Flush or Dual FLush pro...the reason IS...the on/off valve for the water attachment is cheap! and it will jamb and not turn after a dozen or so uses. You cannot service the vavle, disassemble for cleaning...you have to throw the entire attachement away.
Valterra on the other hand...has a garden hose type attachment for the vavle. IF the valve ever fails to operate...it's a cheap part from any Lowe's, or Home Depot to get you going again.
That's just my personal experience with those products.
I think having the spray flush like the quickee flush or tornado, etc.. is a great tool...and you can use it in conjunction with the other tools. Here's what I do.
When I'm at a dump station...I basically dump the black tank, then the grey tank...then go home. I don't hold up the line or do any flushing per se
When I'm at home (I have a sewer connection) or at a site with Full Hookup... I connect the sewer hose to the site connection first...then at the camper end...I attache the hose to the Valterra T-58 waste gate, and the wast gate to the Valterra HydroFlush, and the HydroFlush to the camper. I pull the black tank handle and open the T-58 and dump the tank. Then I connect a hose to the Quickee Flush that came with my camper (which you might have to install)...and let the water start rinsing the tank out. You can see how effective it is by looking at what's going thru the clear HydroFlush section. When it appears to be clearflowing. I close the T-58 handle...and let the Quickee Flush sprayer partially fill the holding tank. Solids will tend to go down into the Hydroflush clear section and you'll know then --- your tank is still dirty. Pull the T-58 handle to release...and repeat.
Another techniqe (in order to conserve freshwater)... I will empty the black tank after the initial rinse action. Close the T-58 gate. And with a quick open and close motion on the grey tank handle...allow grey tank solution to backwash into the black tank. You'd be amazed at how much gunk gets dislodged by the agitation caused by the sudden inlet of grey water into the black tank. I don't leave the grey vavle open very long. Then when you pull the T-58 handle...the stirred up goo from the black tank will flush out. I usually repeat this series of steps to backflush about three times.
I follow this with a quick final rinse of fresh water with the quickee sprayer.
Finally, close the black tank handle...allow the quickee flush to spray about 4 or 5 gallons of fresh water into the holding tank...disconnect the hose from the camper...and add deodorant thru the toilet bowl if you desire.
After all black tank operations are completed I pull the grey handle to dump that tank completely...and give a soapy water rinse to my sewer connection components. You can attach a hose to the HYDROFLUSH unit to do a final freshwater rinse of the hose if you wish before disconnecting.
It's WAY overkill...to do all this. Most people just use a cheap hose, dump, and go. But I'm AR (AN&* RETENTIVE)...so I clean the heck out of my Black Tank.
If you ever get a plug (like solids prevent the black tank from dumping properly)...you will find the HYDROFLUSH/ T-58 combo effective at using city water pressure to dislode the plug from the dump connection end.
They're all neat tools to have...if you need one later...you'll have it instead of wanting it.

FLUSH KING AT TWEETYS
It's a little cheaper at Tweety's...should you decide the Flush King is the way you want to go.

If it was me, I would take the trailer back to the dealer and have them install a proper black tank flush system. I've used the Flush King a couple of times, but in my opinion, it's a waste of water compared to the in-tank system. I purchased an after market in-tank flush kit at Camping World for less than 20 bucks some years ago and installed it myself. Worked very well. The Flush King has been sitting on the shelf in the utility room since.

I use the Flush King. Seems to me to be a very simple, easy to use, effective solution for flushing out the tanks. I don't use it everyime...maybe every 3rd flush and at end of season.
It's hard to beat the simplicity....

X2.
Tank rinser/flush system is superior to a flush king in many ways. Uses less water, easier to use, and cleans tank better.
I'd see if you can get the dealer to install the flush system for you, even if you have to pay a few $$ for it. That, or do like Fiver Captain did, and buy an in-tank flush kit and install yourself. Thats what I did as well, and I won't have an RV now without one.

A lot of people on this forum like the FK, Me, I don't. they use too much water and don't guarantee that the back flushing of the water or refilling the tank will get all the black material off the tank walls. a quickie flush like the one they didn't install will. AND it will use much less water. water is paid for not by the user at dump stations but the tax payer or the gas station or GC you dump at. Plus, I am one that hates to be the one sitting behind the guy using a FK and have to wait for him to refill about three times before he's happy the tank is clean. That's a lot of water my friend. I can be in and out with in 10 to 15 minutes tops
