Hi All,
I have a 26` prowler tt with a roof in need of tlc. Looks like the coating is starting to shrink up away from the edges. Went to the rv dealer and they want more than the tt is worth to redo the roof. its a 99. they had some paint on rubber sealent for about 70.00 a gallon.
seems kind of high, but I have no idea ??. Anyone have any ideas on what I can put on there befor it starts to leak. Thanks in advance for any help....

I have no experience with this material but look at this website:
http://www.epdmcoatings.com/rv_roof_repair.html
My trailer is a '97 and am interested in this product after I do my research. The cost for my 23 ft trailer would be approx. $ 400 for materials.
I suspect that others with experience with this product will chime in.

Ya; You got the right stuff. I did our 1996 Bounder roof with this product and it works great. You will not be sorry you spent the money. It is real thick so you will need a good stiff paste brush or windshield squeegee to apply but it is quite easy. The only thing that bothered me was in four spots the original rubber roof was not bonded down well and the EPDM bit into it and made it bubble up. Several small bubbles went away when it cured but three of the larger bubbles are still present after cure I went over them twice more out about a foot on each one so the material is REALLY thick in this area and after 2 years it has not created any trouble. It was immediately cooler and soooo much quieter in the rain.

Welcome to the Forum Nick! Liquid Roof is an excellent product and well worth the money. I did my 33' fifth wheel with it and it is a great way to avoid having to invest in a new roof. A few pointers: Rent a heavy duty drill for mixing the product. It will burn up all but the sturdiest of power drills. Wear clothes and shoes that you can throw away when done. Wear rubber gloves, the stuff is SUPER sticky. Mix it up one gallon at a time and do your cut in work first. Make sure that the original roofing is well adhered to the substrate. Good luck on your project and again, welcome to the Forum!

Check out this post that I made last year. I put on Herculiner on my roof, and gave links to a product that is also very good, the EPDM two part stuff in a can.

I would not use single part stuff again, it basically will dissolve if sitting under water for a long time.

The Herculiner is very tough, has not leaked, and seems very durable. THe stuff my friend used is slippery, easier and much less toxic to apply, and both products are quieter in the rain, and no more white streaks.

I just finished using the product in the link you gave. It did a great job on my roof. You can see the results in the pictures, and the procedure I followed, in my post here.

Barney, that's really good work. It looks great. That's the thing about doing the work yourself is typically one takes the time to do it right. Very nice.
