New Ford 450 6.7 T. Computer says "Check Coolant Level - OK" I checked the coolant level and it was fine. The engine temp has not increased either. l am wondering if I have a bad sensor and input.

The coolant level sensor might be in the overflow tank, don't know that for a fact, but just a guess. Worth a look, could just be wires disconnected from the sensors.

That light came on on my truck a couple weeks ago I took it to a dealer I was out in Arizona at the time and they said it has to do with the acidity of the coolant, they want it at a certain level. So they took it into the shop and checked it and told me it was OK and reset warming light. The bummer was they charged me $32 to do that

Had the same on my 07 RAM.......'low coolant' warning.
Visual check......looked OK/Normal
Added a little coolant to overflow and warning went away....

You can clear the trouble code by disconnecting the battery terminal for a few minutes, and re-connecting. If it returns, seek the dealers help.

FYI - Stopped at Ford Dealer in Harlingen, TX. They said this "Check Coolant Additive" message is a "reoccurring" warning that simply reminds you to get your coolant tested. They used a test tab similar to a pH test strip and said "everything is good" I asked how often it is not good and they said they have never had the test fail. If is did, they would flush and refill. Both the test strip and coolant are only available through Ford (I am told). Thanks

Yeah the Ford dealer also says trucks are only available at Ford too
Me thinks auto part stores jusssst might carry something that would work also.
