Shame on Pet Smart, Petco, Wally World and all those other retailers for selling such community destroying devices...and God Bless all of you who have made it clear that anyone who has the audacity bto actually hook a dog to a dog lead should ever again be allowed to stay at an RV park!

We welcome you to the RV.Net forum and encourage you to discuss your concerns/questions here. We DO, however, ask that our members (even when they do not agree) respect each other's opinions and that they talk civilly to one another.

In reading all of the OPs posts, it would appear there is underlying anger simmering within. Perhaps this had something to do with his current situation. As always, there are two sides to every story. I get the feeling the OP feels rules only apply to others as his animal is "special". I am sure the yapper/crapper owners feel theirs are special as well. Finally, the title of this thread is pretty misleading. The OP is not being "Told to vacate RV park because of dog". He is being told to vacate the RV park because HE violated a rule he was told would be enforced, yet flaunted it and got caught. I'm pretty sure I know who the loser is going to be in this battle.......just sayin....Dennis

I dunno, seems pretty cut and dry to me. Their was a rule that you obviously were aware of. You chose to take your chances by not following that rule. You got caught not following that rule. You need to expect the consequences of your actions.
I have 3 dogs, I bought a RV so that I can take my pups with me on vacation. I have a couple of the dog leads, and while the wife and I are outside, we will occasionally allow one of the dogs to be on the lead.
Be mature and accept responsibility for your actions... plain and simple.

To the OP...do you really want to remain in a park where you are no longer welcome? To what advantage would that be? I too feel they should reimburse you for unused rent BUT I'm not sure you want to go through the hassle of pursuing even that....IMHO, of course

You can cry on this forum forever and it's still not going to solve your problem. Get out of "Dodge" and get on with your life. If you want your money, file in "small claims court" and let the judge make the decision.

If we ever had such a problem, we would recalculate the fees based on the length of stay they had already stayed, and refund any difference. They would lose money if they had signed up for a monthly or seasonal rate and we evicted after a few days, since that would mean their stay was a daily stay and subject to the daily rate charge. I know we have language to the effect that if you violate the rules you can be evicted with no refunds, but we would try and avoid as much trouble as possible. We would be much more interested in getting them out than keeping the money.

CREATO wrote: Talk with the owner not manager they need to have a license see whoes name is on the license. Don't know about the whole dog deal but you should get a refund of days not used. Our licenses just lists the DBA name, no actual human name. Search the DBAs and get to the legal entities that own it and you will find the agent name which would be our attorney.

In some states the mere acceptance of monthly rent creates a monthly lease situation, which then requires a 30- (or some specified number) day notice for eviction; i.e., you become different than a casual transient renter. You're different still than a mobile-home lessee.
I have no idea if Georgia is one of these states. It would of course be found in the Georgia statues.
If you really want to push it you need to consult a local attorney; to actually try to do something about it would cost you far more money than you feel you are owed.
I understand you are well and truly irked but I suggest you just move on.
