I do not think this is a troll post. I believe this lady is genuinely trying to get this set up on the road and has been given some very bad advice by unscrupulous persons. Hopefully she will come back and we can get some specifics on the MH and TT model and help her avoid a disaster.

Be sure you have a good trailer brake system installed on the MH.

what's scary is that it sounds like there might be lots of children riding in this disaster.
i hope they come back with some better info and numbers because, so far, it sounds like the Titanic!

My first RV was a 20' travel trailer and its empty weight was about 3,500 lbs. That 30 footer is more likely in the 5,000-6,000 range empty.

11,000 miles, on that old of a rig, I sure would look at the tires, if it has been setting that long, they will look good, BUT, they will need to be replaced............

LMAO...I agree about the trailer sounding "light"...
But, i'm wondering where they are going to find a site to park over 53' of campers?
Would this be considered a duplex? lol

We, currently planing a 11000 mile road trip to criss cross the great american west.
The tow max on Camper is 8000 lbs
the Gross Trailer Weight is 3500 lbs dry,
first, the 8000 number sounds like the Fleetwood's GVWR, not it's towing capacity. as far as i know, only diesel MHs have that kind of towing capacity, not one with a 5.7 v-8 gasser!
and 3500lbs. for a 30' TT!
my 24' HTT had a UVW of 4400lbs. so that number is impossible unless a lot of stuff has been removed.
i wish the OP would come back with better info and the correct numbers.
hard to be positive about their setup with these numbers.

poor things, they're probably still crying. I
I don't know if they thought about camp sites. Sometimes, as we all know, you can't park 2 together on the same site or get sites next to each other. Not fun. Then there's the $ factor for 2 sites. UGH!

Tina, I think you are headed for some serious trouble. That MH may look fine. But for towing that trailer for 11,000 miles across the American West...with the vast open space and steep mountain climbs, high winds, hot temperatures, etc., I think you can expect some hard times. Even if you spend all the money for needed belts, hoses, flushes for trans, coolant, brake system. New brakes, radiator, and tires, too.
But bottom line is that even in top condition that MH will struggle and deteriorate quickly on that trip. And then there is also the fact that any touring will be done in a MH. Meaning that you will need to unhook the systems every time you head out of the C/G. And need to re-hook up when returning for the night. That is a big hassle.
