Petaluma has the KOA. There is a cg at Candlestick park but it is not in the best area. Check out www.rvparkreviews. I have stayed in one in Redwood City just south of SF that was not bad....mostly monthlies and older but it worked for us. Google the ready camp go web site could be a good deal for you. This park is nice safe and keeps you from crossing a busy bridge every day to get into the city. Plus they can help plan your time in the city. Nice local bakery across the street. Drive about 15 min to the ferry and then about 30 min to the city.
