My new Adventurer has a drawer problem. They slide out while traveling. Especially the two under the dinette and under the closet. Is there an adjustment to be made to stop this or will I have to come up with some other way to put a stop to these traveling drawers?

We have the same problem. My wife got some velcro strips and put a short section on the upper corners of the drawer and another one (matching)on the cabinet. It seems to work but we will give it the full test on our trip to Alaska.

Try this, when the drawer is in, do you have to pick it up to get it to slide out? If not, maybe you need to adjust the little notches cut into the bottom of the drawer. I have notches cut into the bottom two sides of the drawer and they allow the drawer to be held in by the lower frame. When I want to open the drawer, I lift it up as I pull it out.

The previous owners of our RV were Vecro-lovers. They stuck it all over everything. It didn't help at all and now I'm stuck (pun intended) trying to remove the dang stuff. I don't know if it will work on drawers. Maybe. I'd just try one first before sticking it all over the others.
Check the hardware store and see if there's any type of cabinet door catch that might work. The U-shaped ones that grab the plastic rollers would do, but you'd probably have to tug hard to get the drawers open then. Maybe there's something else. A single magnetic catch probably wouldn't be strong enough, but maybe two or three installed across the top of the face frame would have enough strength to keep the drawer closed without making it hard to pull open. If these are drawers that aren't used very much, I'd go with the U-shaped jobbies as I think they'd be the most reliable.

Porchdog was probably right. Take a look at your drawer slides, the metal stuff your drawer is attached too and the part that it attached to the frame. The metal part attached to the frame has small tabs in the frontthat act as detents to keep the drawer closed. If the tab is in the proper position, you have to lift to open the drawer, if the tab has been bent up too far, the drawer will be real hard or impossible to open. You have to bend the tabs up enough to keep the drawer closed, but not so high as to make the drawer to hard to open by lifting up. I had acouple that would open on trips, after bending the tabs, they stay in place.

While you are checking the "little notches" also make sure that there is some at least small weight in the drawers! The drawer slides are probably wood, as previously stated and generally work very well -even when we were full timing.

If the above post do not help, they do make a spring loaded drawer "keeper". Can be placed on the back or the side of the drawers. Check out your local large hardware store. They are held in place with small wood screws and look like a spring loaded hindge. They will not hold the drawers closed, but will prevent them from comming all the way out.

I had several drawers that would slide open on my HR. Upon investigation, I found the only drawers opening were those with relatively heavy objects in them, IE: the silverwear drawer.
My problem was fixed when I put that "laced non-slip" stuff in the bottom of each drawer.
Just a thought, but it worked for me!

Our dinette drawers on a new Adv.32V have been coming out as well. At first I thought it was the kids not turning the lock, but then I noticed they had overturned them and the lock nut on the back side had come loose.
I tightened those lock nuts and the problem hasn't returned (yet).

We have a 2000 and you have to lift up to pull the drawers out. No problems. Only thing we did was to put metal drawer reinforcements across the bottom. Holes were already drilled, now we can carry any weight in those drawers. Good Luck B
