Just wanting some informatin before buying and starting to travel. Do most RV parks or campgrounds have individual sewer hook ups or do most have a community dump station?

Hard to say, if you are looking for a generalization, state parks - dump station, private parks - individual hook ups.

But it really varies from place to place.

You will be able to dump your tanks at just about any CG you go to, though as mentioned, the private (and more expensive) CGs may (but not always) offer full hook-ups. If not, you should be able to spend a weekend before you need to dump your tanks, so even then, you can go to their dump station.

As with most things, the more money you spend, the more options and amenities you'll get.

Many small and older parks with dump stations only will have a honey-wagon that can be brought around to empty your tanks.

Most of the places I camp have nothing. No water, no power, no dump, no tables, no site #, no fees, etc. Spent 4 weeks boondocking this summer.

Depends on where you go. Be a bit more specific as to your camping preferences.

more private campgrounds, KOA type do have full hookup sites available. I generally get a FHU site ever three days as I find it much nicer/easier to just be able to dump my tanks at my leisure instead of lining up at a public dump.

I only camp at places with full hookups as I do not want to deal with a dump station, also don't want to limit showers or use the campground shower.

While I prefer FHU, it's not usually a deal breaker. Most of the COEs and state parks we camp at do not have sewer a the site, so we need to be conscious of our water use. DH & I can make it about 5-6 days, with Navy showers, if we're careful

I can go about 10 day before I need to empty my black tank and six before the grey tank ... so, I can usually handle a site without FHU for that period of time. If I am going to stay more than 10 days, I like FHU
