Get a Sunpass the day before you leave and put enough on it to cover the tolls to the end of the Turnpike. Load it a day before you leave.

We just came down the east and up the west and really regretted not getting a sunpass for the time we were in the state. - Merely to save the gas due to constant stopping and the pain in the a$$ to get the bill in the mail for half of them.
I think we probably spent ~25$ on each coast.

Can you expound on that please? Specifically, what was the constant stopping about, and what is the bill you are referring to?
I'm headed that way in a couple of months. Thanks.

Is it possible to get one without being in the state? Thanks.

I run down the Florida turnpike once or twice a year. The Sunpass saves money, time and headaches.

I think CVS pharmacies sell them. Give them a credit card number and have them mail you one. Call the 800 number and put some money on it.

Here is the Sunpass link to purchase online.
The comment about starting & stopping is in regards to Sunpass Only Lanes are always moving, sometimes 25mph and sometimes high speed lanes.
