So, when the apocalypse comes, what rig do you want sitting in your driveway? Gas or diesel tow vehicle? Travel Trailer or 5th Wheel? Motorhome? Gas or diesel? 6V batteries? 12 V batteries? I'll assume everyone will want a functional solar panel system. How will you protect your rig from theft? Isn't this a fun topic?

Edit: By apocalypse I meant resource crisis and end of the world as we know it, not necessarily the end of the world. lol

actually anything that will run and a place to sleep. Anyone who stays in the cities is flirting with death. Being always ready to bug out, I need my guns, ammo food and water. the rest is always ready.

The amazing thing is there are those who actually believe this stuff. Reminds me of Y2K when people were buying generators and planning on living in the hills.

Just fill a few schoolbuses with twinkies and bury them in the desert! You might have trouble finding a spot not already filled!

I'm thinking more along the lines of a generalized societal meltdown more than end of the planet or mayan end of calendar apocalypse.

Has anyone else noticed the spate of apocaliptic Television Shows on lately?

Spell Check still doesn't work on this site. I don't suppose it will ever get fixed!

If/when the entire planet becomes history, exactly what difference will it make what is in your driveway?
After all, "The End Of The World" is likely to be just exactly that!

Look on the bright side: There is no use buying Christmas presents, there will be no Christmas! There is no need to buy all the stuff for a wild New Year's Party, there will be no New Years!
AND, there will be NO INAUGURATION! Whoops, sorry, can't say that!

One of these, with the tanks that should be full - full, and the tanks that should be empty - empty:

By the way #1, an "apocalypse" necessitating the rig above could be a huge: earthquake, hurricane, tornado, fire, flood, windstorm, electrical power/grid outage, cellular system collapse, satellite system collapse, sewage system collapse, fresh water system collapse, monetary system collapse, gasoline supply system collapse, and law & order system collapse.

By the way #2, for even the rig in the above link to be useful in these situations it must be used to Get-Out-of-Dodge as early as possible in the apocalypse.
