We live in North Idaho and have a 23' travel trailer. We like camping in ID,WA and MT. We would like to hear of any new campgrounds we havn't tried yet. Some we have been to are: Big Hank(ID) Bad Medicine(MT)Meadow Creek(ID)We would also like to find a camping location on the OR coast.

Don't know exactly how to reply to your posting... A lot depends on what your interests are. I think you have the right size RV to have some real fun in the NW. Here is a link to start with.

WA and OR State Parks are excellent...especially Oregon's.
They are located all over in prime locations..coast and beaches, mountains, deserts, rivers and lakes, sand dunes, near cities and out in the boonies...take your pick. Something will fit your interests.

There are lots of National Park campgrounds along Lake Roosevelt all the way from the Canadian border down to the damn at Grand Cooley

I especially like the NFS parks along US 12 in WA but there are plenty of camping opportunities in all three states. Some of my favorite state parks are in ID: Three Island Crossing and Massacre Rocks, to name a couple. Farewell Bend SP in eastern OR is nice. Kalaloch, a part of Olympic National park, is a beautiful oceanfront campground in WA. Possibly my favorite WA State Park is Cape Disappointment, in Ilwaco. Oregon has a whole string of outstanding oceanfront state parks all the way down 101. They tend to be pretty busy in summer and early fall.

Have you been to Glacier Nat'l Park? I like Two Medicine campground on the east side.

ooohhh Oregon!
Coos Bay. Horsfal Beach if you have quads, RZR's etc.
Winchester Bay up the coast from Coos Bay..can't remember how far.
There is a campground in Lincoln City (highway 101) that was nice....can't remember the name......
Salmon La Sac campground out of Cle Elum WA is a good campground. There are quite a few campgrounds along the road to that campground. Wish Poosh, French Cabin Creek (basically a boondocking area). The thing is that in the summer a lot of times fire danger is high and they will prohibit fires in French Creek.
Washington coast has Twin Harbors State Park near Westport, it's on the ocean.

Have you explored St. Joe National Forest in ID? Coleville National Forest in WA is a treat and then there is Kaniksu NF in ID and the Kootenai and Lolo National Forests in MT. Oh may, so many choices.

You can't go wrong with ANY of the Oregon coast state parks. We have spent time in many of them as we come down the coast on the way south in the fall. You didn't say when you would be out on the coast. If it is anytime after May into the summer, you had best get your reservations in now, as they are incredibly popular and fill up fast in for the summer time. There are several nice state parks on the Washington coast, but not nearly the amount as Oregon. Cape Disappointment, Ocean Shores and Pacific Beach SP are our favorites. There's also Greylands thats nice.
I'm assuming that you have camped in Bannock SP in Montana. If not, you are missing a great historical place to camp. Feels like your stepping right back into the old west!
