We've got ham radio license plates on our vehicles and vanity plates on a couple of trailers and are now considering vanity plates for our new toyhauler. In addition to the normal license registration fee, cost in VA is $1 for ham radio and a $10 annual fee for regular vanity plates. If you have 'permanent' plates the $10 is only a one-time fee. The fee for permanent trailer plates is a one-time $100 if the trailer is over 4000 lbs. We have a farm and have a number of trailers with permanent plates on all of them. We also put permanent plates on the new toyhauler. Overall its much cheaper paying the $100 once instead of $40 per year for each trailer.

Wondering how many have vanity license plates on their RV or camper trailers and what they say?

I've never had any desire for a vanity plate. There always seemed to be beer to spend money on rather than that.

Navy Veteran plates on the motorhome.
Amateur Radio plates on the Jeep.
Army Veteran plates on the truck (yes, I was in both).
Just plain license plates on the PT Cruiser.
The truck plates are permanent. The motorhome plates will become permanent this year. (Vehicles 11 years old or older...)

I figured out the KY Jelly part but the rest escapes me.
I thought of getting vanity plates once at that time the state had a one time extra fee. then they changed to adding the fee every time you renewed them.
