I know you will laugh but it's kinda scary. Several freeway on ramps were closed this morning in the LA Basin and there was ice on our birdbath about half an inch thick too. At the bottom of our hill, there was still ice in the swale at the "T" intersection a 5:00 PM today. How, oh how, can we go surfing with ice on the streets and giant squid all over the beaches?

I was just sitting here reading about what I never thought I might have to do in So. Cal...WINTERIZE my trailer!...I am about 12 miles NW from sbishop in the hills where we are a little colder. Either that or head to the beach for the weekend to camp! I think I'll camp

It's been mid 50's here the past few days. Almost hit 60 today. Very, VERY rare for here this time of year.

I just plugged my trailer in and put an oil heaater in it just to be on the safe side. Every few years we get these freezing temps that come through California. Good news is it doesn't last more than a few days.

For the last couple of days and the next two or three our temps have been running around 40 for a high with 22 for the low.... and we live just outside of Tucson. I think they call this phenomenon "winter". Had a dusting of snow a couple of days ago but nothing to write home about. There's a couple of feet of snow on Mt Lemon, about 12 miles due east and the ski resort there has been running since December so if you would like to get in some skiing come on down to Tucson.

Maybe in your part of this BIG state. We've been frozen for a couple of weeks. No thaw until next month.
