Some state employee's have told me that the damage done by 4x4's to the back roads are hard to fix so as to use these roadby other drivers later. Why do so many think that you must tear up the road to get where you don't need to be anyway. This is why some state are thinking of add a extra fee to the plates's Is this ture?

I think they should add extra fees to Super-charged motors.

I love the outdoors..the further away from others the better I like it..Tree huggers are the ones getting the roads and beaches closed so that folks can't enjoy the public lands available.

Wow, Supercharged, never noticed until I looked at your profile, you've been "rv'ing" since 1950!!! That was the year I was born!! I'd ask how old you are, but that wouldn't be polite.
I don't tear up the outdoors with my truck or anything else, you might, but I don't...Wasn't brought up that way, was a Cub Scout and boy Scout many years ago and tend to take care of where ever I camp, fish or whatever in the great outdoors....don't group everyone into the same group that you're making accusations against...hey, if you've been rv'ing that long, odds are you've done some "tearing up" of back trails, trout streams and places YOU shouldn't have been anyway......just saying.

Backroads get torn up by more two wheel drives that have difficults getting traction. This causes the washboarding that beats vehicles to death.

A 4x4 doesn't automatically mean destroyer of nature like some people seem to think. It's like guns, some idiot does something bad and everyone associated gets a bad name. 4x4s and guns are just tools, it's the small number of abusers that give the rest of the users a bad name.

Is the OP talking about ATVs/UTVs or 4-wheel drive trucks?
Pretty soon the tree huggers will have back country closed off to anything except foot traffic. Then we'll hear complaints about wildfires cause there is no way to get clearing equipment in there.

2 wheel-drive supercharged gassers are silly on the back roads and should be outlawed.

I heard they are more concerned about 4x4's with DRW as they have more wheels on the ground so they are doing more damage, they didn't mention anything about being superecharged or not.
