Where are you from? We live in Southern IL and there are a lot of places to camp around here especially at State Campgrounds! Let me know and maybe I can help you out!

If your kids like amusement parks and water parks, go to Lake Rudolph campground next door to Holiday World in Santa Claus IN

Turkey Run SP in Indiana. VERY popular; advance reservations a must June - Sep. Some terrific hiking trails, canoe & kayak rentals (or bring your own) to "float" down Sugar Creek. (Rentals come with bus transportation to/from drop-off & pickup areas.) There's a big swimming pool in the park, and horseback riding. Some beautiful wooded sites.

Sam A Baker State Park. A bit remote but nice hiking, biking and shallow river to play in. Limited cell service so you need a booster.
Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun in Kansas City is a great theme park with an RV park. Not cheap but a great place for kids.

They have a nice campground but some of the spots are really tight to get into especially if you are new to camping! But we like it over there too!
