As part of the deal on our new camper, I had the dealer & manufacturer include "2 Fantastic Fans". On delivery day we found that the unit had one MaxxFan and one Fantastic fan. At first glance we liked the look and controls of the MaxxFan first. They appeared to do about the same thing, so we accepted it.

My question to everyone is, should we go back and complain or are they really about the same? Any terrible or wonderful experiences with either?

My feeling is a powerful exhaust fan is a powerful exhaust fan. Is the Maxx Air powerful? Run in the opposite direction? Have a "temperature" control?

I'm guessing they put the MaxxFan in the bathroom, right?

My brother had one of each on his motor home. He liked them equally, said the Maxx was a little quieter, but not much.

Fantastic Fan is famous for its Fantastic customer support. I don't know about Maxx.

after 27 seasons and two calls to Fantastic Fan for service i will have nothing but Fantastic Fans in our RV's. they are quiet, reliable and the customer service is parallel to none. period. beyond that you requested, in writing, two Fantastic Fans. the dealer did not comply and, presumably, did not seek permission from you before making the substitution. i'd ask for what i paid for out of principle if nothing else.

The room that has the MaxxAir fan will be quieter!

I have 2 installed in mine. I could not stand the roaring noise the fantastic fans made in my friends coaches.

MaxAir Fans are OUTSIDE your RV. Fantastic fans are mounted right in the ceiling. just saying.

To the OP: If you ordered 2 fantastic fans you would not have had covers for them. You would have had to purchase them afterwards unless you included the covers with your order?

The MaxAir fan comes as one unit covered so you can use it while driving down the road. The fantastic fans you have to order an aftermarket cover....made by MaxAir!!!!!

I have had both. I prefer the TurboMaxx fan over the Fantastic. See my post here for more information as to why.

Sounds like a non-issue and nothing to be concerned about. Perhaps one came from the factory and the other was installed by the dealer?

We bought our coach with a Fantastic Fan already in it. It was not working. We called them to see about what parts we might need to buy and they basically sent us a whole new one to change to since ours was so old that they don't make those parts and all we had to pay for was a few dollars for shipping. It was a complete upgrade, we would not have any other. Works like a charm.

Basically you paid for 2 Fantastic Fans you should have 2 Fantastic Fans or you should know why and how much was the difference in price.
