Granted, since mid-December, I've worn one of my three pairs of sweats on a number of days. Needed my wind breaker on a few occasions and wore my leather jacket a couple of chilly days so far. But, I keep on camping... everyday.

This has been a L-O-N-G winter for me. I feel like I live in the bottom of the Grand Canyon with the deep snow on either side of my driveway & sidewalk. At least the RV is safe in the barn. It was so nice last week when I ran the generator for a couple of hours. I sat in the RV, between the furnace and a couple of ceramic heaters powered by the generator, I got nice and comfortable. Just sat on the sofa remembering some totally fun times with the kids, the places we camped, the special campfire meals... OH... How I'm so ready for all this snow to go, for the wildflowers in the forest to bloom, and to go out and enjoy the great outdoors!

I'm with YOU!

Winter is over tomorrow. The birds down here in Florida are just waiting for the free tailwind ride North. The end of Winter down here means thought of heading North for cooler climes. Just don't camp in low lying areas as with all the snow there's bound to be flash floods. Yes, get ready, Spring is rebirth especialy after a cold Winter like you had.

I was planning to take the grandson's camping this week while they were on spring break, but it is supposed to be either snowing or having frozen rain here in our part of Kansas. Maybe the weekend of April 6th.....

Have a 4 day weekend over Easter, hoping to go then. Forecast is 40's during the day but mid 20's at night. Would be happier if the temps would just stay above freezing..... Last year this time it was in the 70's. Wishing for a little of that global warming so I can go camping.

Chris LeDoux says... Got a heater in the truck and I'm off to the rodeo.... well, I've got a heater in my camper, so I'm off to the campground...
