Getting ready to go on a camping trip this weekend and wanted some thoughts on what might be good to eat. Probably will have the usual hamburgers and hot dogs at some point. but just thought i might get some other idea's on what might be something different to eat.

We can't wait to go on our first of the season camping excursion so we can make pouch meals! These are our absolute favorite thing to make. We will do the usual hamburgers, brats, steaks, and chicken too. Enjoy your weekend.

Grilled steaks, chicken, pork chops, or ribs. We rarely do hot dogs or hamburgers. Some fish is good on the grill too as well as shrimp. We cook at the campground just like we were at home.

Think we are doing the hot dogs and hamburgers lunch and a pork loin for dinner this weekend. We went 2 weeks ago and did a pork shoulder and garlic roasted potatoes over the fire and they were yummy. This will be our 3 trip and it would be nice when the furnace does not have to run so much. Forecast is for mid 30's at night, 50's during the day.

Looking forward to spring whenever it finally gets here and it's more comfortable sitting outside.

We like to do a scramble once every trip. The possible ingredients are endless. Eggs of course, taters, bacon, sausage, peppers, onions, veggies, etc. then melt cheese on top.

Waiting to use our Dutch oven again. Start the charcoal, put the pork and beef roast in the Dutch Oven, place on the coals and sit back with my favorite beverage.

We do that often and call it a "Scromlette". Very tasty.

My kids really like pizzas from the pudgy pie maker over the campfire.
In the summer we always do a taco salad. It's quick, filling, and very little prep if you make the taco meat ahead of time.
