I didn't do all of our setup at our site last night because of rain and more impending rain...so I was finishing up this morning. The state park we're at has hookups for electric only and there are 6 or 8 water spigots located around the campground. There are no drains at these spigots. Our site is next to one of these spigots and I didn't think that would be a big deal. Well, a tenting neighbor from 5 sites away brought all of his dishes, large tub, dish soap, and three kids to the spigot this morning and proceeded to make the kids wash the dishes while he had a smoke. How can I politely let him know, that for one, I've NEVER seen this before...and two, I don't like the idea of what is technically his gray water running into my campsite all weekend? I don't want to be a jerk, but I also wonder why common sense has become such a limited commodity.

I can see yer point there.
The water spigots not having drains indicates to me that only fresh clean water is meant to hit the ground.

Does the tent camper look approachable at all?
Maybe you folks could help them dump the water in the bathroom if allowed.

Paul, we're at Le-Aqua-Na...I always hesitate to go to the host, for the simple fact that any chance I might have had to talk to them and make friends is almost surely going to go out the window. I'll figure something out...

Most state parks I have been always has a offset room with a large wash up tub thing. This is where you are suppose to do these type of things. Of course most state sites we go also support tent campers as well...

While being friends with the host is nice to have, you need to remember that taking care of the place is their job! How can they know of a specific problem if they are not made aware of it? I don't think they will un-friend you just because you bring something to their attention.

Talk to them...I think you'll be surprised.
