My son is supposed to arrive in Tulsa Monday night but cannot get into his dorm at the college he will be attending until Tuesday. We were wondering if there is a campground that he could stay at Monday night. He is in Civil Air Patrol so he has all the necessary gear to camp with. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lots of RV PARKS around Tulsa OK... Do a google map search for Tulsa OKLA. CLick on the map and then type in RV PARKS in the search line.

I see a couple of State Parks off the Arkansas River Keystone State Park and Walnut Creek State Park close by with tent sites...

Have never camped around Tulsa. Too bad you are not close to the Wichita Mountains WildLife Refuge at Medicine Park OKLA... This is near Lawton OKLA however.... I have camped at CAMP DORIS there many times.

Now remember that I am past my tent camping days, but for just one night it seems like a lot of work to set up a campsite?

Would not a hotel for one night be a lot easier?

Keystone State Park would normally be the best bet but is now closed for the season. There are RV parks that are open nearer to town such as Mingo RV Park but have never stayed there and know nothing about it. I am from Tulsa but I always just camped in my backyard!

Thank you to those who responded. He was able to make arrangements with an aunt who lives 6 hours from Tulsa to stay overnight on Monday. That does make me feel much better.
