My Camping trip continues to change & now I'm thinking of going through the Zion park & yet wonder how much of the area is open to allowing me my dog?

I pack out everything I pack in, yet I understand thats not the issue, its more about park rules & many do not allow dogs?

Pack rules are meant to be bent..... With that being said, it is up to your dog....
My dog is a retired fire investigator,, he still carries a badge,, allot of places that do not allow dogs have to allow him!!
Be that as it may,, he is very tolerant and if I didn't announce him you wouldn't know he was there... Other than 160lbs of Black lab/Mastiff. So bring your dog,, if you can truly control him,, most places are tolerant..
I have seen some English Sheep hounds that are truly smarter than US!!!!!

You two sound like big buddies and if you're going to the park I see no reason not to take your dog. Posted areas will tell you where he can and can't go so you can avoid those and both of you should have a great time. I agree with jake2250, rules are set for those who require being told how to behave.

If you are not following rules they are broke not bent.

So if you have "No Trespassing" signs on your property, I can still walk through there?

Head up the Kolob Terrace Rd, exiting the north end of the Park. That is National Forest land, open to dispersed camping and dogs.

These rules look pretty clear cut! Strange how people that own dogs do not think the rules apply to "their" dog because it is so "special"!

We went to a Christmas Concert Saturday at our community center and the people that sat next to me bought their lap dog, stating is was their special child together as they did not have any children born to the two of them!!

Read the rules and follow them. If not following them I hope people get fined as spelled out in the rules. These parks have been set aside for the people of the country and other visitors to enjoy! Please respect that!
