With all the critters in the Louisiana swamps, adventure is an interesting way to describe it. In the swamps, I prefer to be off the ground.

that link went elsewhere for me. every time I cross thru that area on that 18??? mile long bridge and stop at the rest area I don't think I would enjoy camping in that terrain.

As a kid in the scouts, we used to camp all over including the Atchafalaya basin. Critters not much of a bother anymore than anywhere else, just be aware of your surroundings. Glad they are designating some sites out there. Now, how do I get my TT out there

I have never seen an alligator while I was camping in the Minnesota.

We have camps at the gun range nead Krotz Springtents the wild life management with a RV and have seen campers in tents facilities a dump station and water
