Woke up this mornng to new neighbors. They were in one of those big buses with the custom slides. Very incognito with a tan all body paint and limo tinted windows. Driver showed up in a shuttle from the adjacent hotel and proceeded to prep the rig for departure. They were gone about 30 minutes later. Wonder who it was.

So lets here your famous folk sightings while camping.

We were up at Yellowstone River RV which we love, backed up to the river doing our normal monitoring of the Osprey fishing on the river, and in come two completely blacked out (windows were that dark "limousine black" tint) and these two huge buses back in just as smooth as glass, into their spots - ONCE. Now this is a nice park and all and the sites are nicely spaced, but they aren't all that big, and to get a MH into those spaces either takes a good long time, or a couple of shots back and forth, but these buses just as cool as could be, one quick shot and they're in. Out comes the slides, and not too much activity, except in between the buses are all these kids.

Apparently they were a hip signing group on their way to a concert in Calgary and decided to stop off in YNP for a couple of days. They were nice and partied in between the buses, in a nice way. and left in two days.

They were the talk of the CG, and someone found out their name, but it didn't register (which doesn't say much - anything older than Hall & Oats and I haven't heard of it!!!)

We'd rather be out traveling, but I still work so we're part-timers.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife Ginni in 2008 when we both parked our coaches at a Walmart for the night. We had a great conversation while my wife and I were walking our dog.

Was buzzing south out of Anchorage last summer. Looked over to the right and there sat Wild West Guns.

looked up the place on the way back and there was ole Hans all decked out in cammies. he was the same guy as on the TV show. Got a pic of him and me.

Darn it he said the Pfred was on vacation.

During our fall trip in 2011 we set up in Cherry Hill Park and disconnected to go shopping. Drove toward the entrance and saw a rig with the Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice guys on the side, got to the end of that street and parked there was the "Porn Star Road Trip Bus". DW would only let me take pictures from the towed. There were a few guys standing around looking, but no porn stars.

Also years ago ... I was in my little Toyota Chinook camper at a state park in California when a big Class A pulled in - there weren't nearly so many of them then. Later in the day Hal Holbrook climbed out and took a walk. He was keeping to himself and I left him alone.

Patrick Wayne on an airplane and Ralph Nader at D/FW. If we're going to stray from the OPs camping question, I could start a long list of musicians and race drivers, starting with, say, Mick Jagger, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Rait, Eric Clapton, and many other of those guys back when my brother was playing trumpet with the Rolling Stones (he is the trumpet and trombone on all the early 70s hits), and Mario Andretti, Phil Hill, the Rodriquez brothers, Dan Gurney, etc., back when I was racing sports cars. I have a poster from a Sebring race covered with autographs of a lot of the most famous racing drivers of the time.

But the best story I've ever heard was a friend who was waiting for a flight at an airport, standing next to an African-American couple, and couldn't restrain herself from verbally admiring the woman's earrings, which were large and colorful. They chatted about that for a few minutes, and then she said to the husband, "You know, you look very familiar. Have we met before?" He reluctantly admitted that he was ... Jesse Jackson. She wanted to crawl through the floor.
