The D-max is BUILT by Isuzu (much to my disgust) but was designed by Americans. GM just wants to cut costs to offset the money they lose because of all the 'loyal' 'Americans' who buy Jap.
Obviously you loyal Jap auto buyers don't work for a company that makes anything for the U.S. (Big 3) auto industry. If you do, besides shaming yourself, you will be the cause of your own rude awakening when you lose your job because of what is parked in your driveway.
Buy a GM product and my kids eat. Buy a Toy-ota and it's just a matter of time before they don't eat!

Jimmy,
What are you doing for your TV, VCR, Stereo, DVD player, cameras, etc, etc, etc?? Aren't they all built by some off shore company? At least Toyota is allowing many, many Americans to earn a living.
I can't wait for that Toyota 3/4 ton!!!

LOL.....yeah, I know, you really can't get away from them, but at least we still make vehicles (for now). Oh well, just venting my opinion. Don't anyone take it the wrong way. I still have the right to my opinion, and my Chevy .

Jimmy,
I'm getting REAL tired of hearing you and others use the word "Jap". It offends me. My husband is Japanese and is a real gentleman. I have two children whom we love to death. You may be helpful on the forum to others when it comes to figuring which of the "Big 3" trucks to use as a tow vehicle, but you are not a gentleman.
Sorry, I just can't stand this disrespectful talk anymore.

It's just an abbreviation, like D-max. I don't want to speak on his behalf, but it doesn't come off as an ethnic slur, but an abbreviation. I happen to agree, buy American.

Linda (Lucy's People),
I take offense by you saying that I am not a gentleman (personally, I don’t care what you think of me). Not so much as saying it, but how you justify it. I use the word 'Jap' in the same context as foreigners use the term ‘Yank’ to describe an American, or a ‘Kraut’ to describe a German (of which I am by descent). I called no one a name, made fun of no one, and did not personally attack anyone on this thread. You said you were getting tired of me AND THE OTHERS using that term, yet it was me you made the 'example' out of. If anyone attacked anyone, it was you who attacked me. Is history repeating itself?

All of you guys that say the Japs can't build any thing but compacts need to look around at the delivery trucks. Id say you got it backward. Isuzu designed the engine and in a joint venture with GM, they are making them here in the good old US of A with union labor. Don't take my word for it. Check it out yourselves.

GM is turning Japanese's I really think so.
If you can't beat them, join them. GM is finally getting the picture. Check and see how much stock GM owns in Japanese companies.
