My dealer tells me that the wet weight of the 1121 Lance Camper is 3684 lbs. They tell me that the "wet" weight includes all accessories, full water tank, and propane. The quoted wet weight is 424 lbs. over the catalogue provide dry weight. No reason to doubt my dealer, but I don't know him. So I would appreciate your thoughts.

RonW:
I think the dealer is a little out on his calculations. Normally the dry basic weight of a camper does not include options. One example is that a fresh water tank filled to capacity is going to weigh 10 lbs per gallon. So if your tank is 30 gallons then that means it will weigh 300 lbs for just the water. His figure of 424 lbs is a little out to lunch. Dealers often will low ball you on the weights of these rigs, at least this is what I've found. Your best bet is to take your rig all loaded up to the nearest truck weigh scales and see for yourself what it weighs. Also take your truck unloaded with a full fuel load and whoever you take as passengers and get it weighed as well. The difference between these two weights will be what your camper weighs. Hope this helps.......Steve...

Always take what the saleman (you know, the person that will make money off of you buying the unit!) with a grain of rock salt. He does not have to live with (or died with) the unit.

I think you can go to the Lance website and get weights for a camper plus each accessory or option which interests you.

You can probably trust that dealer about as far as you can throw him. He is claiming the “wet” weight is less than the “dry” weight listed by Lance?

Ask him if he will put his statement in writing and guarantee a full purchase price buy-back including any taxes paid if you buy the unit and his information proves to be untrue when you get to a certified scale. I got money he changes his tune and will not stand by his figures when it gets past the bull_hit stage and comes time to sign his name on the dotted line of that guarantee.

Looking for any information available on Del Rey "Sky Lounge" and Kamp King slide-ins for preservation/restoration projects.
