Before I bought it I checked to see if it would run my air not wanting it to run anything else. Well it did and some more things also. It ran air easily, not bad for $549. Its only for emergency I plan to buy a EU 1000 to run TV and computer. I just wanted to let others know if there looking at generators that the EN2500 would run a 30amp trailer fine.

Of course at 76 db sound level compared to 59 for the EU and 71 pounds versus 46 that's not a choice I'd make.
You've got a good AC there if it starts all the time on 2.5K max watts.

Big difference between the generators. As Mike says, the EN is noisier and heavier. The EN2500 is rated for a continuous 2300 watts (19.2 amps) @ 76 dB of noise, and the EU2000 is rated for a continuous 1600 watts (13.3 amps) @ @59 dB, and better quality power. (Each 10 dB jump in the sound level is ten times as loud--20 dB jump is 100 times as loud, etc. http://www.howstuffworks.com/question124.htm)
Two very different generators.

All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

That is incorrect. This is true going from a 0 db rating to a 20db rating where it is 100 times louder, but it is different going from a point greater then zero. So a genset running at 70db is not 100 times louder then a genset running at 50db.

Racnmasn --- It looks like Mike and Ken didn't see that you only wanted the EN2500 for "emergency" use ... I like you can put up with the noise rather than no eletricity . During the blackout nearly three weeks ago that noise would have been good to hear. A friend of mine in Jackson ,Mi. has his home set up just for such a situation . It's not a big deal . From what I understand you shut off the main breaker and have backup breakers wired to take over for the circuits needed for the emergency . You need to know what you are doing ,but it works . Forget the noise and build a dolly to roll the generator to wherever you need . The 1000EU will keep yur battery in the RV charged and not a whole lot more ,maybe a small micro 600watt . Also Cut out both ends of a #10 can ,punch four holes near the rim of the can ,two sets in a cross pattern then run coat hanger wire crossing bend to keep them from slipping out and "WALLA" you have a toaster for the top of the stove and the morning toast and coffee .Is there a better way to start the day? Then one can be like me, and have an EB3500, 69DB sound level, WAS the quietest Generator by Honda when I bought some 12 years ago. Luv it, and would not spend another 1500 or so bucks just to go a bit quieter.
As far as original posters comments, use it for emergancy's or when need be out camping. those 10 DB are not that much, now if it were some of the ones at 85+db........
Oh yeah, mine powers my home, TT, work tools etc, at 150 lbs, granted a bit heavy, but with 2 2x6's, and two big 10" wheels in the front, it goes wherever I need it to go, including the back of the truck bed with out too much thought.

I purchased a EM2500 back in early 99 because at that time it was about the best deal around, the EU's weren't out yet. We still have it even though we have a EU2000 now. The EM2500 is loud and heavy but I still use it around the house from time to time. Our local Power Company (Sierra Pacific) is really bad, power goes off 6 o 8 hours at a time regularly. I have ran our refrigerator, deep freezer, wood stove blower motor and some lights with it with no problems, so it still has a place around my house. I did mount 4 wheels on it so I can push it around though.

Yea your right that it is noisy but the price and wieght of gen out way the noise. It only ways 60 pounds without fuel. That and the price, and the major reason I got it was to run my air conditioner in my rig in emergencys. I was going to get to EU's 2000 and hook them up parallel but my friend got the EN2500 just for the hell of it so I asked him if I could try it on my rig. I was only concerned about running my air, well it did no problem.
My emergency is if something happens to my truck like it breaks down and I'm in the desert or my wife takes off to go do some shopping with the truck I can grab gen out of truck and not worry about power. Another reason I got it was because I did want to carry a $2000 dollar gen in the back of truck all the time. If someone steals it I will only be out $549 dollars instead of $2000. And of course 2 EU2000 gen's paralleled are a much better setup but you know thats expensive.
I just lucked out my friend got that gen and I could try it to see if my air would run. I would of never bought it if he didn't get it, to much of a risk to buy it and not have it run my air.
If people want to know what it sounds like it is loud next to it, it sound level is similar to a noisy carpet vacum or expensive lawnmower. I know some won't believe this but with the air on and windows closed you can barley hear it when its 10feet away.
